Competitiveness Story

Driven by economic, social and political factors, the global economy is in a constant state of change.

To achieve sustainable growth and prosperity, UAE leadership adopted a competitive approach to its development. The Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Centre (FCSC) articulates a competitive framework as a wide-ranging set of policies and actions that enable the UAE to build for the long term and embrace economic transformation by leveraging its competitive advantages.

The UAE’s competitive approach to nation building envisages the creation of a policy environment that allows human capital and natural resources to be highly productive and enables the economy to be strengthened in its higher value-added productivity sectors, resulting in higher levels of prosperity.

The FCSC aims to improve the UAE’s ranking in global competitiveness reports by working with stakeholders on defining and implementing reforms and policies across sectors. The positive results of their tireless efforts can be witnessed in every field.

While being a young nation, the UAE has demonstrated time and again that it follows the best global practices and standards in governance across all sectors ranging from strength of the economy to stimulating innovation.

The years ahead will be a time of unprecedented opportunities, growth and development. We invite you to be a part of our success story.
