Third Doing Business Technical Deep Dive

Global Aspiration towards Business Growth and Economic Prosperity

Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Minister of Finance of the United Arab Emirates and Deputy Dubai Ruler, the World Bank Group together with the UAE government will proudly host the Third Doing Business Technical Deep Dive. The event will welcome participants from around the world.

Date: 10th – 13th December 2019

Location: Mandarin Oriental Jumeira Hotel, Dubai

Target Audience: Over 200 experts in the field of Doing Business, and Women, Business and the Law

During the four day event, international experts, government officials, and policy makers will convene with the goal of learning and knowledge sharing. Participants seeking to enhance their nations’ action plan will have the opportunity to receive technical assistance from international experts. The World Bank’s Investment Climate Advisory Services team will provide learning sessions to support participants as they begin to work on the next cycle of Doing Business reforms. The positive evaluations from two previous events, the Ease of Doing Business Initiative and the Doing Business Technical Deep Dive, stipulated the demand in the region for such knowledge platforms on the topic of Doing Business.

Objectives

The primary objective of the Third Technical Deep Dive is to create a platform for technical knowledge exchange between country-level experts and the World Bank Group’s specialists. The event will feature clinics on particular topics across the two reports delivered by experts from the World Bank Group. These clinics will allow country representatives to learn more about report methodology and necessary reforms. These clinics will include sessions on communicating reforms successfully, monitoring and evaluation, and media engagement, among others, that can help countries to enhance their Doing Business reform plans.
