The Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Centre, as a key strategic entity within the national statistical system of the United Arab Emirates, is committed to unifying statistics across the nation to produce comprehensive and official figures that accurately reflect the country’s reality. This is achieved by adhering to the highest international statistical standards and methodologies within a proactive statistical system, in coordination with local statistical centers and dataproducing entities. The Centre ensures the security, privacy, and confidentiality of data, supporting evidence-based decisionmaking and policy formulation as a fundamental component for implementing the economic and social development strategies and plans adopted by the UAE government.

The FCSC leverages innovative mechanisms to track and analyze the UAE’s performance and rankings on Global Competitiveness Indicators, working in close collaboration with local federal entities and partners in the private sector and civil society. We also pride ourselves with the constructive partnerships we built with the various global reporting organizations tasked with publishing global competitiveness reports and prestigious research institutes, to promote the UAE’s competitiveness and enhance its standing on the global map, while supporting its efforts to attain advanced leading positions in the various sectors.
