The UAE continues to make notable strides toward global competitiveness, guided by the forward-looking vision of its leadership to achieve sustainable growth and prosperity. Central to this momentum is a strategic framework led by the Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Centre, which plays a pivotal role in shaping a resilient and future-ready economy. This framework draws upon internationally recognized policies and best-in-class practices, ensuring that the UAE remains aligned with global benchmarks while fostering innovation, efficiency, and long-term development.
The Centre has contributed significantly to advancing the UAE’s competitiveness by delivering reliable data, conducting in-depth analytical studies, and strengthening engagement with international organizations. Through a coordinated national effort—uniting government entities, the private sector, and academic institutions—the UAE has achieved outstanding positions across a wide range of global competitiveness indicators.
Building on this foundation, the National Competitiveness Committee was established in 2024 under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Comprising of key ministers and members of executive councils, the committee plays a strategic role in monitoring global trends, facilitating data integration, and enhancing the UAE’s performance in global rankings. These efforts are closely aligned with the objectives of “UAE Vision 2071,” which aims to position the nation among the world’s most advanced by its centennial—empowering future generations and ensuring enduring prosperity for all its residents.”
